Radiation

After surgery for breast cancer and 4 chemos then it was time for radiation. 30 of them.My

cousins took turns taking me to Tulsa. Bless each and every one of them. One has passed away, Janet Justus. May she rest in peace.

The doctor told me it would take about 5 minutes. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes. The first 28 weren’t bad but the last 2 burned so bad, I didn’t think I could make it home. No one

would help me. My daughter had some Burn-Gel from Georgia Pacific where her husband

worked. It was great!

A bright spot during radiation was when American Cancer Society gave us all a bouquet

of daffodils. We acted like a bunch of kids over those flowers.

Radiation is so expensive, one of the ladies said she had rather have had a facelift.

Also some bad thigs happened like the fellow in the waiting room thought we were

contagious.
